Information Management

The application of Information Technology in agriculture research is primarily in three areas:

1. Data management and analysis
2. Information exchange, and
3. Decision support for management

The courses in this programme are designed to build and enhance skills in the above areas. The courses in data management and analysis cover a wide range from basic skills in use of spreadsheets, relational database to Geographic Information systems to GIS; in information exchange from electronic presentations to design of websites; and those in decision support systems cover expert systems applications and GIS based decision support systems.
