Essential Qualifications

Eligibility

 The minimum qualification for admission into the programmes is a FOUR YEAR Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following subjects from any Agricultural University or Institution recognized by the ICAR/UGC:

  • Agriculture

  • Agri-Business Management/Commercial Agriculture and Agri-Business Management/ Agricultural Marketing and Cooperation

  • Agricultural Engineering

  • Agricultural Information Technology

  • Bioinformatics

  • Biotechnology

  • Dairy Technology

  • Energy and Environmental Engineering

  • Fisheries

  • Food Technology/Food Process Engineering

  • Forestry

  • Horticulture

  • Sericulture

  • Veterinary Science

Minimum Percentage: 50 percent or its equivalent OGPA. The students who are going to complete their degree by July, 2012 are also eligible to apply.

CAT/MAT/CMAT Score: Must have appeared in CAT 2011/MAT/CMAT Examination

Total Number of Seats: 30 (Thirty)

The reservation of seats will be available for OBC, SC, ST and Physically Handicapped category as per Govt. of India rules.

Applying for PGDMA - Batch IV (2012-14)

  1.  Obtain a demand draft of Rs.300/- ((Rs. 150/- in case of SC/ST) ) drawn in favour of “ICAR-Unit- NAARM” and payable at Hyderabad from any Bank

  2. Fill-in the application form available on-line (www.naarm.ernet.in/admissions/apply.aspx)

  3. After carefully checking the details, press submit the application form. A printable format of your application is shown which can be saved/printed.

  4. Alternatively, after submitting application, one can download the application form at any time using the link, www.naarm.ernet.in/admissions/download.aspx

  5. The following documents are required along with the printout of the application form:

  • One recent Passport size photograph (to be pasted on the space provided in the print out of the application form)

  •  Photocopies of Xth Standard, XII Standard certificates and mark sheets

  • Photocopies ofMark/Grade sheets of undergraduate degree (up to the last semester available);

  • Photocopies of Degree/Provisional certificate (if issued) or Course Completion Certificate/Certificate from University Authorities about the status of course completion (In case the candidate is in the final semester of under-graduate course);

  • Work Experience Certificate (if any)

  • Photocopy of CAT 2011/MAT/CMAT Score Card (Individual sections as well as total)

  • Photocopy of CAT/MAT/CMAT Hall Ticket/Admit Card

  • Photocopy of SC/ST/OBC certificate (if applicable)

  • Statement of Purpose (SOP) - Two page hand-written by the candidate on their own words about themselves, their aims, reasons for choosing Agri-Business as career option and reasons for choosing NAARM

  • Demand Draft for Rs.300/- (Rs. 150/- in case of SC/ST)

The last date of receipt of application at NAARM is April 10, 2012. NAARM is not responsible for late receipt of application due to postal delays. Application received in any other format would not be accepted.

Short-listing of Candidates

Candidates would be short-listed based on CAT scores and selected candidates would be called for Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) to be held at NAARM, Hyderabad during April/May, 2012. The exact date and time would be intimated separately to the candidates.

Final Selection

The following criteria would be used for admission into PGDMA at NAARM: • CAT Score (40%) • Group Discussion (25%) • Personal Interview (25%) • Academic Record (10%) The candidates would be short-listed by merit based on the criteria mentioned above and names of those selected for admission into PGDMA will be announced during first week of June, 2012. The course is expected to start in the first week of July, 2012.
