Major functions of the Centre	Mandate: Collaborate with the Subject Matter Specialists of the State Agricultural Universities / Scientists of the Regional Research Stations (NARP) and the State Extension Personnel in the “ On – Farm Testing”, refining and documenting technologies for developing region-specific sustainable land-use system. Organize training to update the extension personnel within the area of operation with emerging advances in agricultural research on regular basis. Organize long-term vocational training courses in agriculture and allied vocations for rural youths with emphasis on “ Learning by doing” for generating self-employment through institutional financing. Organize Front Line Demonstrations in (Oil seeds and Pulses) crops to generate production date and feedback information. Current Activities: Organizing vocational training for the representative of the farmer’s groups in agriculture and allied enterprises. Conducting On-Farm Research in Farming Systems perspective involving Crops, Horticulture, Livestock, Fisheries etc., Conducting Front Line Demonstrations on Major cereals, Oil Seeds and Pulses and other enterprises related to Agriculture. Conducting In-service training of field level officials. Conducting Command Area Development Programme / with 100 FFS in WUA’s of Nellore district.
